We are working to fix an error with our payments service

A technical issue with our payments service has caused a small number of recent customer payments to go to the wrong payees. We are working to fix this. If you are affected, and a payment has been sent to the wrong payee, please be assured that we will put this right as a matter of urgency.

What you need to do now

First, check any payment you have made since Saturday 3 June, to make sure that it went to the right payee. If any incorrect payments have been made, take a note of them and get in contact with us. If you’ve already contacted us in relation to this issue, then you do not need to take any further action.

Contact centre staff are online to help Saturdays between 10am and 2pm (9am to 2pm for NI/GB) and weekdays from 9am to 6pm (9am to 5pm for NI/GB).

If you need to make a payment now

You can still make payments through the app or by using your desktop, but please pay particular attention when you are on the payments review screen. Make sure that the payee details are the correct ones for the person you want to make a payment to. If they are not, go back and amend them before approving payment.
