Aer Credit Card has picked up the award for Best Benefits or Loyalty Programme of the Year at the Card and Payments Awards. The Card & Payments Awards recognise excellence and innovation in the UK and Irish card and payments industries.

Bank of Ireland in partnership with Aer Lingus launched this co-branded airline travel rewards card to the Irish Market in January 2019. Aer Credit Card is a highly differentiated credit card proposition which was developed based on extensive external customer research. The customer value proposition includes five key travel related benefits* including two return flights to Europe (you pay taxes fees and charges), travel insurance, lounge passes, fast track and priority boarding passes worth in excess of €200. Card holders can also collect 1 Avios for every €1 spend with Aer Lingus and 1 Avios for every €4 spend on all other transactions.

The Aer Lingus partnership leverages the brand strength and existing loyalty of the Aer Lingus AerClub Programme, while also providing Bank of Ireland with a unique co-branded credit card proposition. Aer Credit Card was launched as a disruptor to the Irish marketplace and provides Bank of Ireland and Aer Lingus with a unique and innovative proposition for customers.

* The fare is free, you pay the taxes, fees and charges. Available when you spend €5,000 or more within a Reward Year on the Aer Credit Card, except for Excluded Transactions. Free return fares are for a European Aer Lingus ticketed and operated flight to/from Dublin, Cork, Shannon or Belfast. A minimum of two seats per flight will be available, except for Restricted Periods. Seat availability on the Aer Lingus website or through a booking agent does not guarantee a free return fare.

Lounge pass to access Aer Lingus operated lounges at Dublin, Cork, Shannon and Belfast Airports every Reward Year when flying on an Aer Lingus operated flight.

Fast track passes on Aer Lingus operated flights out of Ireland at selected airports every Reward Year.
