Bank of Ireland appoints Eileen Fitzpatrick as Non-executive Director

Bank of Ireland announces the appointment to the Board of BOIG plc and the Court of Directors of the Bank of Ms. Eileen Fitzpatrick as Non-executive Director with effect from 15 May, 2019.

Ms. Fitzpatrick will also be appointed to the Audit Committee and the Remuneration Committee of BOIG plc and the Bank as of the same date.

Ms. Fitzpatrick has extensive public sector and capital markets experience, and has held a number of senior roles in both the asset management and stockbroking industries. She has been Head of NewERA at the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) since November 2011 and announced her departure from the Agency in January 2019. NewERA provides financial and commercial advice to Government Ministers in relation to State-owned companies across the energy utilities, transport and health sectors.

She joined the NTMA in 2006 as a member of the Executive Management Team and as Director, Alternative Assets, for the National Pensions Reserve Fund. Prior to her appointment at the NTMA she was Chief Executive Officer at AIB Investment Managers from 2000 to 2006. From 1987 to 2000 she held a number of senior investment and stockbroking positions, including with AIB Investment Managers, Goodbody Stockbrokers, National City Brokers and
Montgomery Govett.

Ms. Fitzpatrick has served in a number of non-executive positions including as Chairman of the Irish Association of Investment Managers, as a Board Member of the Chartered Accountants Regulatory Board, as a Member of the Government’s Top Level Appointments Committee (TLAC), and as a Member of the Governing Body of UCD. She is a graduate of University College Dublin where she completed a PhD in Science in 1986.
