Bank of Ireland hosts event in House of Lords - Driving housing supply in Ireland

29th November 2018: Over 100 professionals from the Irish property sector gathered at the House of Lords, College Green to hear a panel of industry leaders discuss driving the supply of housing in Ireland. Panellists were Loretta O’Sullivan, Ivan Gaine, Tom Dunne, John Coleman and Paul McDonnell.

Addressing the event, Francesca McDonagh, Group CEO said: “We need creative solutions to alleviate the problems of the future and we must also not be afraid to challenge the approaches of the past. We must examine what we build, and where we build it; the height and density of our housing to create sustainable urban areas; and the specific needs of an older population.

“A strong banking sector will be needed to help the construction sector to continue its forward momentum. Driving housing supply is critical for the wellbeing of society and the future success of the country. Bank of Ireland will play our part in this challenge.”
