Bank of Ireland wins Global Retail Banking Award

Retail Banker International, the leading Retail Banking industry journal and a Verdict briefing service, recently announced the recipients of the 2017 Global Retail Banking Awards. Bank of Ireland was the only Irish bank to pick up a prize on the night for ‘Best Customer Facing Technology’.

The winners across 25 categories were honoured in the awards ceremony co-hosted by Fiserv’s Managing Director EMEA John Smith alongside Electronic Payments International Editor Anna Milne. The awards recognised achievements in the Retail Banking industry as well as challenged candidates to share their recent successes. All winners were selected by an independent judging panel, and by Retail Banker International editorial team members.

Commenting on the awards, Douglas Blakey, Editor of Retail Banker International, said: “We received a record number of entries and I want to thank all entrant banks for participating; the quality and quantity of the entries did the RBI Global Awards proud. The RBI Awards were established more than 25 years ago and continue to set a benchmark for recognising world class retail banking institutions that set new standards in terms of innovation and outstanding performance. I want to congratulate all of the winners and thank the Awards sponsors Fiserv for their continued support.”
