Bank of Ireland’s Youth Week for students commences

Bank of Ireland’s Youth Week for students – an open door at branches nationwide, a showcasing of back-to-school businesses and great Meteor incentives

Bank of Ireland branches across the country will celebrate annual Youth Week from Monday 22nd to Friday 26 August with in-branch events for 2nd level students. In addition, the Bank has partnered with Meteor to provide each customer who opens and activates a 2nd level student account a choice of two great value phone packages. Each branch is gearing up to welcome the next generation of customers as they take their first step towards financial independence.

Many branches will also showcase local businesses relevant to these customers such as back-to-school products, uniform and book shops and after-school care providers who will be promoting their services. Showcasing businesses in this way is a regular initiative by the Bank that is designed to support business growth in the local community, providing a new channel to do business and network with both customers and other businesses.

Bank of Ireland’s 2nd level student account is designed to introduce students to independent financial management and offers them free day-to-day banking transactions, an ATM card (plus Laser and full access to online and telephone banking for over 16s).    The Bank also pays the Government Stamp Duty on behalf of these customers and currently offers a free International Student Identity Card (ISIC) giving these young customers real value for money. Opening an account with Bank of Ireland during ‘Youth Week’ will encourage a habit of life-long good account management and saving.

Bank of Ireland extends a warm invite to all students in the area to visit their local branch next week.  No appointment necessary – just drop in and enjoy the fun atmosphere, seek any advice you may need to open a current or savings account and avail of the special Meteor incentives on offer.
