What are the fees and charges associated with Google Pay?

Debit Cards:

In-Store: As with existing BOI Contactless fees and charges, the account transaction fee is waived for all Contactless transactions until further notice. For non-euro contactless transactions the Point of Sale Currency Conversion Fee of 2% of transaction value will apply (maximum €11.43 charge)

In-App: For personal debit cards, transactions carried out in euro are free of charge. As with existing internet purchases for business debit cards, the account transaction fee of 10 cent may apply depending on your account type. For non-euro transactions the Point of Sale Currency Conversion Fee of 2% of transaction value will apply (maximum €11.43 charge).

Credit Cards:

In-Store & In-App: No Bank of Ireland credit card transaction fees apply. Cross border handling fees apply to non-Euro Google Pay transactions, in the same way as they do to any non-Euro credit card transaction.

Mobile network provider charges may apply depending on your data plan.
