If I choose to be debited in euro in a non-euro EEA country at point of sale or ATM, should I receive a message?

If you are offered the option to pay or make the withdrawal in either Euro or the foreign currency and you choose Euro, Bank of Ireland will not send you a message. Certain retailers and ATM providers will offer you the choice to convert to Euro at the time of doing the transaction. As the conversion is done by the retailer or the ATM provider and not by Bank of Ireland we will not send you a message.
