How do I transfer money using digital banking?
Republic of Ireland customers can use the following digital channels to make a transfer to another account:
- Upgraded Bank of Ireland App
- 365 online (original and Upgraded site)
- Mobile Banking app
- Tablet Banking app
Northern Ireland and Great Britain customers can use:
- Upgraded Bank of Ireland App
- 365 online (original and Upgraded site)
- Tablet Banking app

To make a transfer, you must first add and activate a payee, then follow these steps:
- Log in to 365 online.
- Tap 'Money Transfer'.
- Select the type of transfer.
- Choose an account to transfer from and tap 'Continue'.
- Choose an account to transfer to.
- Enter the amount, amend the reference (if required) and tap 'Continue',
- Enter the 3 requested digits of your 6-digit 365 PIN.
- A confirmation screen will appear giving you an opportunity to print this information. You can also save it as a PDF.
Transfer cut-off times:
- Republic of Ireland: 3:30pm
- Northern Ireland and Great Britain: 4:30pm

You must first add a Payee and activate the Payee then you can follow these simple steps
- Tap Transfers on the bottom menu
- Choose the account to Pay from then
- Choose the type of transfer – Pay a Person or a Bill
- Choose from your list of payees
- Enter the Amount you wish to transfer
- If required you can change Message to Payee (tap to amend)
- Tap Continue, confirm the details of the transfer then tap Yes if you wish to proceed
- Enter the 3 requested digits of your 6 digit 365 PIN.
A confirmation screen will appear
Transfer cut-off times :
- Cut-off time for ROI - 3:30pm
- Cut-off time for UK - 4:30pm
To transfer money to someone, you must first add and activate them as a payee. Once this is complete, follow the steps below:
- Select the account you wish to transfer from.
- Select who to transfer to. Chose from:
- My Accounts; or
- Your list of payees
- Enter the amount you wish to transfer and tap 'Submit'.
- Select when you would like to make this payment:
- Today; or
- Future date (where available)
- Tap 'Continue'.
- If required, add a reason for payment or edit the reference, then tap 'Continue'.
- View important information such as cut-off times and daily limits, then tap 'Continue'.
- Enter the 3 requested digits of your 6-digit 365 PIN and tap 'Submit'. A confirmation screen will appear summarising your transfer request.
Transfer cut-off times:
- Republic of Ireland: 3.30pm
- Northern Ireland and Great Britain: 4.30pm

The Tablet Banking app uses drag and drop when making selections.

- Select 'Send money or pay a bill'.
- Choose an account to pay from.
- Choose a payee to pay to.
- Enter the amount you wish to transfer and any other details requested.
- Tap 'Continue'.
- Enter the 3 requested digits of your 6-digit 365 PIN.
- Swipe to approve.

- Northern Ireland and Great Britain - 4:30pm

- Click 'Payments' on the top menu.
- Select 'Send money or pay a bill'.
- Choose an account to pay from.
- Choose a payee to pay to.
- Enter the amount you wish to transfer and any other details requested.
- Click 'Continue'.
- Enter the 3 requested digits of your 6-digit 365 PIN.
- Tap the notification on your security device to open authentication screen – you will not be asked to log into your security device
- Swipe to accept. - The notification will disappear from your device automatically or you can tap ‘Done’
A notification will be sent to the security device quoted on screen.
On your Security device – Smart device
