If my card is lost or stolen, can I still use my Apple device?

Credit cards: Once reported to BOI as lost or stolen, your card details will be automatically updated and you can continue to use Apple Pay on your device whilst your new card is sent to you.

Debit cards: Once you report the card as lost or stolen to Bank of Ireland, a new card will be ordered and posted to you. Your BOI card in your Apple Pay app will be automatically updated 2 business days from reporting the card as lost or stolen. By the time you receive your new card in the post, you are not required to update the Apple Pay app yourself. You will not be able to use your BOI card on your Apple Pay app until it was been automatically updated.
