What happens to the money in a Smart Start Account if a parent/guardian no longer has the capacity to manage the account?

If a parent/guardian dies or loses contractual capacity, Bank of Ireland may block the account, end the agreement, and close the account. The child will no longer be able to use the account. Any money in the account will be returned to the parent/guardian’s estate.
