Add non-BOI credit card as a payee

For credit card providers not listed as a bill payee, you can add it as a SEPA or international payee.

Customers should confirm the following details with their credit card provider before adding the payee:

Republic of Ireland:

  1. BIC and IBAN.
  2. Payee reference – normally the full credit card number.

Northern Ireland and Great Britain:

  1. National Sort Code (NSC) and account number
  2. Payee reference – normally the full credit card number.

Please note

Post office credit cards can be added using the 'Add a bill' option.

  1. Log in to your account on the Bank of Ireland App.
  2. Tap 'Payments' on the bottom menu.
  3. Select 'Manage payees.'
  4. Choose 'Add a payee.'
  5. Enter the payee account details using the details you confirmed with your credit card provider.
  6. Enter the 3 requested digits of your 6-digit 365 PIN.
  7. Swipe to approve.
  1. Log in to your account on the 365 online.
  2. Click 'Payments' on the top menu.
  3. Select 'Manage payees.'
  4. Choose 'Add a payee.'
  5. Enter the payee account details using the details you confirmed with your credit card provider.
  6. Enter the 3 requested digits of your 6-digit 365 PIN.
  7. A notification will be sent to the security device quoted on screen. Using a Physical Security Key

    On your Security device – Smart device

  8. Tap the notification on your security device to open authentication screen – you will not be asked to log into your security device
  9. Swipe to accept. - The notification will disappear from your device automatically or you can tap ‘Done’
