Because Ireland* is in SEPA, the Single Euro Payment Area, we must follow the official SEPA Direct Debit rules.

These apply where you and the person you are paying are in the SEPA zone.

These rules apply even if you are setting up a direct debit to pay a business with a bank account in Ireland.*
