What is the Deposit Guarantee Scheme (DGS)?

The DGS is a protective measure established in Irish and European law that protects depositors if a bank collapses. The DGS protects eligible bank and credit union accounts up to a limit of €100,000 per depositor, per financial institution. For more information please see www.depositguarantee.ie.
