The BOI Alumni network, as part of our newsletter updates, would like to take the opportunity to let you know about upcoming educational programmes, talks, workshops and/or events that are happening across Ireland as they come to us across the year.

Bank of Ireland is the Financial Services partner of a number of universities across Ireland including: UCC, NUI Galway, University of Limerick et al., and last year saw the launch of a new Enterprise and Innovation partnership with Tangent, Trinity’s Ideas Workspace.

Trinity College Dublin have let us know that Tangent, Trinity’s Ideas Workspace, in partnership with Springboard+, is offering a Level 9 (NFQ) Postgraduate Certificate in Innovation and Enterprise Development available in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and Galway starting the end of March 2019.

Postgraduate Certificate in Innovation and Enterprise Development

Delivered and awarded by Trinity College Dublin, this part-time active learning programme (in classroom and online) will give you unique future of work skills and techniques, designed to develop your innate entrepreneurial qualities. This course also gives you have the opportunity to work with peers across a variety of different industries and organizations and support your ongoing learning and development.

On the course you will learn, for example:

  • Design Thinking – problem identification and problem-solution fit
  • Team dynamics – relationship building, project scrumming, peer learning
  • Prototype Solutions – real world solutions to create organisational/business value
  • Professional Practice – applied project practice
  • Module 1: Innovation and Creativity: in person (8 weeks)
  • Module 2: Opportunity Generation: on-line (6 weeks)
  • Module 3: Enterprise Development: on-line (6 weeks)

Application Process

See below and attached overview of application procedure. Application must be completed via Springboard+ portal by closing date COB 11th March 2019. Please be advised applications need only be started by this date i.e. open Springboard+ account.

The application can be revisited as the applicant is gathering documentation after the closing date of the 11th of March 2019.






*The course is valued at €2,400 and is subsidised by the Higher Education Authority- Springboard+ initiative funded by the European Social Fund. A fee of €240 Euro applies for those in employment. This Level 9 Springboard course is free to eligible candidates. Places are LIMITED in each of the four locations.
