BUSINESS ADVICE WEBSITE CELEBRATES ONE MILLION UNIQUE VISITORS

Increased visits to ThinkBusiness.ie post-Brexit with Irish SMEs looking for advice

ThinkBusiness.ie, a free, reference and advice platform for SMEs, has seen over 1,000,000 unique users since its inception in May 2015. The website provides useful tools, templates, guides and checklists for entrepreneurs, start-ups and the SME community, with over 30,000 downloads of its business templates to date.

The website usage indicates a positive outlook for the Irish business community with ThinkBusiness.ie visitors demonstrating a particular interest in guides related to increasing the workforce and employee entitlements. Businesses have also been using the recent addition of a specialist tax calculator on the website which helps employers understand the full cost of a new role/promotion/wage increase per month and per year.

Discussing the journey so far, Stephen Conmy, Editor, ThinkBusiness said: “The website serves as a barometer for how businesses are faring and an encouraging sign is the spike in demand from employers wanting to know about annual leave entitlements and how to pay their staff. These are indicators which demonstrate that Ireland’s small business community is confident in terms of growing the workforce.

“The post-Brexit environment has brought a level of uncertainty for some and it has also trickled down to small business owners. Our website traffic has showed an increased appetite from users wanting to access advice in relation to managing currency risk. We are always keen to hear from entrepreneurs and SMEs for feedback on topics and issues they want advice on,” said Stephen Conmy.

Powered by Bank of Ireland, ThinkBusiness.ie is a one-stop-platform for advice on how to start, run and grow a business. All content is objective and independent. The most popular download is the Business Plan template.
