Jamie Woodhas been appointedSenior Equity Managerreporting to Paul Boyne, Managing Director - Global Equities. With over 15 years' experience in investment and finance, Jamie will play a lead role in the management of BIAM's $6 billion Global Equity Product.
He joins BIAM from Newman Ragazzi Partners in London, where he is a Portfolio Manager responsible for generating investment ideas for the firm's $500m flagship hedge fund. He previously worked with Paul Boyne at Morgan Stanley Investment Management in the UK, where he was Executive Director, Portfolio Manager on a global core product, and Head of Global Media Research and European Technology Research. He also worked for JP Morgan Chase & Co on the sell-side, covering several highly ranked sectors culminating in the position of Head of European Communications Technology Research. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MA in Modern Literature from University of London.
Barry Glavinhas been appointedSenior Research Analystand will report to Chris Johns, Managing Director* - Global Research. Barry has more than 9 years' investment experience and will play a key role within our recently established Global Research team.
Barry joined the HSBC Group in 2000 and is currently a Senior Investment Analyst and Global Head of Industrials Research with HSBC Halbis Partners in London. He moved to London in 2002 from HSBC Asset Management in Paris where he had been a Portfolio Manager, managing balanced mandates. Prior to this, he spent a number of years as a derivatives broker with Cargill Investor Services in Paris. Barry holds a BA in Politics & Philosophy from University College Dublin and is a CFA Charterholder. He is a member of both the UK Society of Investment Professionals & the CFA Institute.
