How can I reduce my fees and charge?
For a Standard Current Account:
If you have more than 40 transactions in a quarter, the Flat fee option is better for you.
Over the course of a fee quarter, lodge at least €3,000 to your Personal Current Account AND make 9 debit payments for that account using Bank of Ireland 365 Phone/Online and or Mobile banking(This is the equivalent of €1,000 net salary lodgement and 3 Payments per month). Payments made by direct debit or standing order do not qualify as 365 Phone /Online and /or Mobile banking payments for the purpose of this offer.
Or
Maintain a minimum credit balance of €3,000 in your Personal Current Account throughout the full fee quarter to qualify for out No Transaction Fees Offer for that quarter.
Lodgements received and payments made after cut off times or anytime on a non-banking day (i.e. Saturday, Sunday or bank/public holiday) may not be reflected in the account until the following working day. There are different cut off times for different transactions. Please contact your branch for details. Our No Transaction Fees Offer is based upon the overnight balance that appears on your statement. There may be a difference between this balance and other sources of balance information available such as ATM, online, phone, or branch printed statements.
Use your debit card and take cash-back on the same transaction - giving you two transactions for the price of one.
- Maintain your current account balance within account limits and avoid unpaid charges, overlimit item charges and interest surcharges. If you don't have enough money in your account to pay outstanding cheques, direct debits or standing orders, talk to your branch in advance about arranging an overdraft or increasing your overdraft limit
- If you have an agreed overdraft, check your account regularly to ensure the balance reverts to credit for at least 30 days each year from the date the overdraft is received, in order to avoid interest surcharges. Using Bank of Ireland 365 phone/online or Mobile banking services is an easy way to check your balance. Lending criteria and terms and conditions apply to overdraft applications. Customers must be 18 or over to apply for this facility.
- Keep your statements carefully and record details of cheques on your cheque book stub. Copies are costly to provide and are charged for accordingly. Alternatively, use 365 online to select, view and print all transactions (or specific types of transaction eg all lodgements, all ATM withdrawals, etc) on your account for the previous twelve months.

With over 1,100 Bank of Ireland ATMs nationwide, you have easy and convenient access to your cash whenever you need it. You can also withdraw cash from other ATMs.

365 Phone - Getting started
There are three simple steps to get started:
- Step 1 - Register: Simply call 0818 365 365 and we will register you
- Step 2 - Validate PIN: We will send you your six-digit PIN. Validate your PIN with Bank of Ireland 365 Customer Service agent by calling 0818 365 365 and pressing the star key on your phone
- Step 3 - Start: Once you've validated your 365 PIN you can use the service immediately
Our customer service agents are available from 8am to midnight, Monday to Friday (excluding bank/public holidays), and 10am to 2pm on Saturdays.
365 Phone - Changing your 365 PIN
Just phone 0818 365 365 and follow our self-service menu.
365 Phone - Forgot your 365 PIN
If you forget your 365 PIN, simply call 0818 365 365 during customer service agent assisted hours and we will issue you with a new one. When you receive your new 365 PIN, you will need to call us again to validate it.
Please note: You cannot use 365 phone or online services until your new 365 PIN is validated.

For security reasons, do not write down your PIN or Online User ID or disclose this information to anyone.
